Terri Louque Baudier

The Acadiana Stars family will forever mourn the loss of Terri Louque Baudier, coach and mother of Brie Baudier (7/8s All Stars, 2008), who passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Mrs. Baudier was a dedicated and loving educator, parent, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Garland E. “Butch” Pollard

The Acadiana Stars family will forever mourn the loss of Garland E. “Butch” Pollard, longtime, passionate friend and supporter of Acadiana Biddy Basketball and Acadiana Stars AAU Basketball.  Father of Julia and Elizabeth Pollard, both highly accomplished players of Acadiana Biddy and Acadiana Stars AAU basketball.  Husband of Mary Pollard, longtime volunteer to both Acadiana Biddy and Acadiana Stars AAU basketball.  Butch will always be remembered for his willingness to help either program in any way needed. He was the program’s favorite “clock” person for years.  He spent countless hours helping out at games and tournaments whenever needed.  He was most happy and proud watching his daughters play basketball.  The Acadiana Biddy Basketball and the Acadiana Stars AAU Basketball programs will forever be honored to have had such a dedicated supporter and friend who will be dearly missed.

Deondrick "Dede" Veal

The Acadiana Stars family will forever mourn the loss of DEONDRICK “DEDE” VEAL,  friend and supporter of Acadiana Biddy Basketball and Acadiana Stars AAU Basketball.  “DEDE” spent many hours working the clock, keeping the scorebook, or doing whatever it was we asked at our Acadiana Biddy Basketball league games.  He also traveled with the Acadiana Stars Girls AAU program watching his sister, KEKE VEAL, play for many years.  DEDE was the son of Delanzo Veal and Alonda Jenkins Veal and the “big brother” to KeKe Veal (Acadiana Stars AAU 2006-2010) and Zabori Veal (Acadiana Biddy Boys 10s 2011-2012).  The Acadiana Stars programs were honored to have such a friend as DEONDRICK “DEDE” VEAL and he will be forever missed.
